Jungle Fight 4 Fighters Announced By Mick Hammond, MMAWeekly The fourth installment of Wallid Ismail and Antonio Inoki's Jungle Fight series is continuing to come together as this week Ismail issued the list of fighters to be involved in the event to MMAWeekly. Among those set to compete is Chizo Machida, the welterweight brother of Lyoto Machida, the fighter who defeated BJ Penn earlier this year at Hero's. Joining Machida will be Leopoldo Montenegro, Gustavo "Ximu" Machado (the only man to defeat The Ultimate Fighter's Nate Quarry), Pride veteran Jose "Pele" Landi-Jons, and UFC veteran Vladimir Matyushenko. According to Ismail another UFC/K-1/King of the Cage veteran is also close to signing a deal to appear on the show. Final match-ups for the show will be made announced soon.

Jungle Fight 4 is scheduled to take place on May 21 st in Manus, Brazil at the Tropical Hotel on the banks of the Amazon River. The event is being named "Road to Las Vegas" as it will lead to the first ever Jungle Fight event to be held in Las Vegas. The date for Las Vegas installment of Jungle Fight is currently set for September 9 th and will take place at the Orleans Hotel & Casino. Ismail exclaimed, "Mr. Inoki has set a mandate that fighters who perform well and provide a lot of action and excitement, regardless of win or loss, at Jungle Fight 4 will be invited to Las Vegas to appear on Jungle Fight 5."

日本の格闘メディアでは　あまり目に触れることのなくなった「ジャングル・ファイト」。
密かに第４回大会の概要が発表されています。

５月２１日にブラジルのマナウス　トロピカル・ホテルにて開催。
出場が予定される選手は、上の記事を参照のこと。
Chizo Machidaという名前がその中に見えるが、Lyoto Machidaの弟でウェルター級の選手のよう。
イズマイルによれば、その他、UFC・K-1・King of the Cageに出場経験のあるベテラン勢の参加も見込まれているようだ。

驚くべきは、ジャングル・ファイト５のラスベガスでの開催が予定されているということ。
９月９日にOrleans Hotelでの興行が決定している模様。
そんなわけでジャングル・ファイト４のサブタイトルも「Road to Las Vegas」ということになっている。

"Road to ..."って　どこかで聞いたことがあると思ったら、HERO'Sですね。
"Road to Dynamite!"をパクッたと思われる猪木サンですが、相変らず機を見るに敏なところが微笑ましい限りです。
