Today's Inside Word is that I am hearing from a contact in Japan that one of the major MMA promotions in Japan are trying to secure Royce Gracie vs. Ken Shamrock fight for sometime early next year.

The other part of the rumor is that the fight will be held in Las Vegas, as part of an all-star MMA card.

記事の中でも"rumors and gossip"との表現を使っているだけにネタの精度はマユツバものだろう。

日本のメジャーなMMAプロモーションが来年の早い時期にホイス対シャムロックの対戦を目論んでいるという話で、ラスベガスでのオールスター戦として対戦の噂もあるという支離滅裂なお話。

初期UFCで伝説を作った二人ではあるけれど、今さら対戦を見たいヒトはどれだけいるのかなぁという気分。
実現性を問うよりも、噂の出所を確かめてみたいという好奇心だけがそそられる記事でした。
